We had our OB Presentation today and it went of smoothly.Ours was on Erwing Goffman's theory which dealt with social behaviour-how we are supposed to act in a particular setting but may not actually be feeling like acting that way.How people are judged on their looks -impression management, and also touched on body language. We also covered the role the internet has to play where people can really express their true feelings or can even assume roles anonymously. We did role play, pictorial representation and a ppt presentation.I really felt as if I was experiencing group dynamics when interacting with my team members.3 years after graduating it feels nice to doing this stuff all over again.Unfortunately the conclusion to our presentation was that we have to learn to be sophisticated liars. It's funny but walking back from college to the station we were discussing the blasts and how we felt about it.For us its presentations and life as normal. But seriously how much is this city going to take? Some one suggested that as soon as the first blast occured trains should have been stopped and stations evacuated. We may have averted atleast 1 blast and saved atleast 200 people.Of course she did say that the suggestion didn't come from her it was from her dad whose not an mba. So in real life situations how valid is my mba? Its a new world out there where we need to learn terror management. But can these things be learnt? I have only questions no answers
