DONT LET AN INDIAN KEEP THE TIME

When we go for parties everybody gets picked up and then we go as a group. So yesterday we were on our way for one and was waiting for a friend under her house. She made us wait for half an hour (and we were already running late) and then she told us to leave and that she would come by herself later. We were just discussing how much of time in our life we must have spent waiting. Waiting for members in our group is a big time wastage of time. Nothing but waiting where we reach the party at the end. We go late even for weddings. When one of our closest friends were tying the knot we landed there when she was leaving the mandap hall. ALl because one girls ghagra was not ready and all of us were waiting for it to arrive.

If you look at it in the larger picture. Indians have no context of time. There are few punctual people who I know like my dad.......but they are few and far between. So I'm sure most people will relate to me and my experiences with waiting. And we really can't say anything to anyone else because we may have made someone else wait in the past.Something that this country and me have to work on.

Sign seen on top of the message board at Pizzeria (outside Jazz by the Bay) in town-''Lets have a noiseless diwali this year.........only terrorist's burst bombs''..................nice one
